A long time ago while starting my vaccination investigation, if you will, I found a site that had memorials to children who had died following vaccination. Some were older kids - like 9 and 10. Many were 4 and 5 and had been previously vaccinated as recommended. And still many more were small toddlers and infants. If you think that the age of 1 is the safety age for SIDS and you vaccinate, you can think again. Many of the deaths in 1 and 2 year olds on that page were listed "suspected SIDS"
I have since lost the link to that site and haven't been able to locate it. However I have found a site that might give you some idea of what it is like to have a child injured by vaccines.

A friend of mine has a son who became autistic because of his 18 month vaccinations. Forget what they tell you about there being no proof vaccines cause autism. The proof lies in the lives of this family and so many thousands more, who's lives have been torn apart with this affliction. He was walking and talking and playing like any normal 18 month old boy. Happy and very healthy. 12 hours after his shots he had fallen into a complete vegetative state. He is now 5 and although though the hard work, love and dedication of his parents, he is doing well. He hasn't spoken again. His mother lives with the memory of the agony of that day, watching her baby fall into the autism abyss. She longs to hear the words "I love you" or even "mom" For now, and maybe forever, she has to only see those words in his face and sometimes, when he can look at her, his eyes.
What she faces day to day I can only imagine and it makes my heart hurt and feel heavy like a rock. God bless her, her family and babies and all those that suffer like this, thinking "if only..." every day of their lives.
I know that vaccines are not the ONLY cause of autism. But maybe... they are. Maybe the vaccines we got as kids effect our children. Maybe what the disease itself does to our bodies has been doing it forever but now, with the help of modern technology is doing it even better.
Let us think about what we are doing to ourselves as a species. And always keep this in mind - what are the long term effects of altering nature. Vaccines have been around only about 100 years and widely used for only 60. What are the generational consequences of altering our bodies own immune responses. Can you list any? I can. But what are we doing to the process of which we grow? Do vaccines alter us genetically? Have they ever thought to look? Has it been studied enough or long enough to even know? ASK THE QUESTIONS. All the answers are there.

Tired
Second night at the hospital with my 4 year old daughter - tired. If there are typos in the previous post please forgive me. It is about 1:30 in he morning and I am wiped out. I am meeting more and more people who want to know about vaccines and living healthier lives. I love that we are asking the questions. I know that I focus on vaccines but there are many more ideas to look at. Sometimes wrapping your head around of all it is a little tough though. Here is too hoping there WILL be a better future out there.

Statistical Risk
When someone comes to me and want sot have "solid proof" that vaccinations are not safe, effective or really even needed I try to recall this information that I investigated for myself a while ago:
All numbers are estimated in the peaks years of illnesses prior to vaccines and antibiotics to help with complications. Based on easily found CDC reports from the early 20th century (1920ish)
What I found:
There are almost 700,000 people in the US diagnosed as autistic.
At it's peak, Pertussis killed 10,000 (population was approx. 107 million) a year, last year (2009 at the time) there were 39 deaths from pertussis. (current population ofi305 million)
Diptheria at its peak killed 15,000 a year. There were 5 deaths last year. (I have since discovered some interesting info on this illness...)
Tetanus has a 5% death rate - in the 100 cases there are on average in the US each year.
That is right - For the chance of being one of the 50 people that die each year of these illnesses you risk your child's life to be altered, ruined or possibly ended forever.
If you catch measles your chance of dying from measles is less than .3% . Before the vaccine, 400-500 deaths occurred each year. 1000 people became disabled. THIS IS AT IT'S PEAK. (so your chances THEN was 1 in about 71,300 you would be effected permanently by the measles with death or side effects of the disease) Today the reports of measles cases is 64 with 54 being people who were not from the US. As far as was reported there were no deaths or last ill effects.
So add it all up - without vaccines your chance of dying from one of these diseases is 1 in over 3,050,000.
Chance of Autism: 1 in 80
And this does not include chances of adverse effects from vaccines such at allergic reactions, SIDS, and convulsions leading to death. (or other neurological and immunological disfunction)
IPV - polio - has been wiped out because of vaccinations. This vaccine is mostly obsolete and I don't believe it is even given at all. I imagine if there was an outbreak though it should be taken as the rate of becoming crippled from the disease is 20%. Again though, medical advancements in treatment might prevent this. However, it is very contagious.
